About the Library

The M-C Community Library is the combination of two small towns, Meriden and Cleghorn, in Northwest Iowa. Meriden has a population of 148 and is to the East of Cleghorn by less than 5 miles.  The population of Cleghorn is 240.  They both have a very interesting past and present!  The M-C Community Library has volumes of books that encapsulate a fascinating look at Cleghorn from the beginning. The books were researched and written by Gilbert Ducommun.  Our tiny towns were once thriving towns! Now they are a great place to read a book and enjoy the peace and quiet! We Love it Here!!
