Meriden and Cleghorn

The M-C Community Library has volumes of books that give an indepth look at Cleghorn from the beginning to the present. A very complete place to find all you ever wanted to know about the town of Cleghorn. Meriden and Cleghorn each have fantastic volunteer fire departments-second to none!

Cleghorn has a beautiful Community Center that can be rented for your next event or family get together Just call (712)436-2500.  It sits next to a park with fun playground equipment to explore! The park has wonderful shade trees, picnic tables, and benches.

Meriden also has an auspicious beginning- it's original name was Hazard! We now have a pub and eatery with the name of Hazard! Meriden also has a community center with a fireplace! Great place to book your next get together. Our tiny towns were once thriving towns!  Meriden and Cleghorn have a very interesting past and present!  They are wonderful places to live! Now, they are a great place to read a book and enjoy the peace and quiet!
